The history of Castle Pines Village all started with a love of golf and the land.

Over four decades ago, Jack A. Vickers looked over the landscape that would become Castle Pines Golf Club, the host of the International PGA Tour from 1986 to 2006.

The land was purchased in the late 1970s, and the Jack Nicklaus signature course was completed over the following decade. Since then, thousands of professional and amateur golfers from around the world have experienced the deeply wooded areas and rolling hills that make Castle Pines so unique.

With the success of the golf course, there was another vision to create a luxury community so people could experience Castle Pines amenities outside of their tee time. In 1981, a 3,000-acre gated master planned community was born. Much like the Castle Pines world-renowned golf course, the surrounding Castle Pines Village community was created with a commitment to careful planning, and a deep respect for wildlife and the natural environment. Castle Pines Village was designed to take advantage of all that Colorado has to offer, from the vast Ponderosa Pine forest to sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains.
